What is this book about?
"Yaya Han's World of Cosplay" is a "Guide to Fandom Costume Culture," told through my unique point of view from within the cosplay community. Not only is this book an in-depth look at how modern cosplay developed over the past 20 years, it also explores the sociology of fan costuming and discusses the positive as well as negative aspects of this art form. Lastly, it tells the story of how I went from a little girl in China to a globally known name in fandom and entrepreneur in America.
Writing this book was the hardest thing I've ever done, and it is also a longtime dream, finally finally fulfilled, and I am incredibly proud of the end result.
