Convention Appearances

Partial convention listing and my Guest Bio on www.animecons.com

I enjoy traveling to conventions, meeting like minded people and experiencing different cultures. I especially love sharing my knowledge and experience of Cosplay with the world and see myself as an Ambassador for Cosplay, wherever I go.

I am available to participate in the following types of convention programming:
- Hosting panels and workshops on a dozen cosplay related subjects including costume craftsmanship (multiple levels), cosplay performance, makeup, modeling, posing and photography, international cosplay, sociology of cosplay and many more.
- Hosting (MCing)main programming events such as costume contests, Fashion Shows, Idol contests, Opening Ceremonies, Charity Auctions and more.
- Judging contests such as costuming and cosplay.
- Appearing in at least one costume per day of the convention
- Signing autographs at my merchandise table or other appropriate setting.
-Photo Ops with fans.
Requirements:
- Travel reimbursed -  I am a savvy traveler and often only incur minimal travel expenses.
- Hotel room paid for, and either a per diem or food comp.
- A comped booth space inside the convention dealer/vendor room, or two tables in the artist alley/guest alley area. I have my own store of hand made cosplay products and simply would like a space inside your event to offer the items to the public. I also use the table space to sign autographs and as a chance to meet fans. My products are convention favorites and a great addition to the roster of vendors.

Testimonials from conventions that have invited me as a Guest

"Yaya is always a joy to work with. She brings a level of class to the proceedings that we rarely see these days. As MC, she helped make our last Costume Contest our most successful presentation yet. Her panels were always full of fans who can't seem to get enough of her. We can't wait to have her back."
Jason Merrill, Events Director - AWA

"We have had the distinct honor of having Yaya Han, an internationally known and recognized Costumer and CosPlayer, as a guest at Project A-Kon twice now. On both occasions, Yaya was a wonderful guest to work with, as she genuinely enjoyed interacting with the fans as well as our staffers. She also provided wonderful ideas for panels to involve the cosplay community among our attendees. Her panels were well attended and the feedback received was very positive about both the topics and her involvement in the panels. We were so pleased with Yaya’s involvement with A-Kon that we have invited her back for a 3rd guest appearance in 2010."
Laura N. Morris, Vice Chairman, A-Kon

"Yaya Han is one of the most professional cosplay guest i have ever invited. She puts the event before personal interests. She is always on time for activities and she stands goes out of her way to help with them so they are better for everyone involved. She doesn't need to be pursued to do things as long as she have an official schedule a few day before the event she will always be on time and on the place where she's supposed to be.
Yaya is also charismatic and has a lot of class, which she emotes to all the visitors, and for that she is very well accepted, her smile makes everyone who works with her and everyone who sees her feel better.
She is also very reasonable and adjusts to budgets and timetables and doesn't asks for things outside of the basics. Yaya's workshops are professional and well explained, the visitors taking them always provide good feedback of their experience and having learned something. Her designs in wardrobe and costumes are very detailed and well kept, and all those interested in doing what she does are usually awed by them.
We'll always welcome Yaya at our events, she has been with us at over 8 events, and we'll be bringing her again in the future.
So if you are interested in a good and professional guest, she is the way to go."
Faustino Cantu, Convention Organizer and CEO of Entretenimiento Creativo

"I have had the great pleasure to work with Yaya Han. She takes her work very seriously and is always willing to help out. As a guest she is great. She always makes sure that whatever she is sign up to do she gives 120%. The patrons lover her and always thinks that she is great. She is very nice to all patrons who come up and ask for pictures or autographs from her. I would definitely work with Yaya Han. I think that she is a great guest and any convention who books her will definitely see this."
Morgan Canaday, Director Of Media and Special Guests for Metrocon

"Anyone who runs a con will agree that it's hard work and at times trying, especially onsite during the convention. A few things make this task easier, though. Great staff, great location and last but certainly not least - great guests. When a guest is more than just a panel and autograph session kind of guest, but someone who is willing and capable to do so much more, it makes my job, as a Con Chair, so much easier. Yaya is professional, endearing, charismatic and hard-working. She was always willing to do more than was required to ensure that my convention went well and my guests enjoyed themselves as much as possible. When I asked her to emcee our opening ceremonies at the last minute, she just jumped right in. She was excellent at her many other responsibilities, as well, such as teaching some cosplaying 101 and 201 panels, and judging our Cosplay contest. Yaya is the kind of guest who is more than worth any cost required to have her at your show. Our attendees loved her and are asking for us to bring her back for 2011 - which we want, as well. (They also loved her booth, because no one was selling costume items like hers at our show, so she filled a gap in the dealer's/artist alley market, as well.) I can't wait to work with Yaya again. She became more than just a guest; she is the kind of person you want to be friends with - and that kind of person is priceless."
Beth Nelson, Con-Chair, Ikkicon

"Yaya Han is a guest that we at Anime USA always look forward to seeing. Her professionalism and terrific connection with her fans and attendees prove time and time again how much she adds value as a guest and why we enjoy working with her so much!"

"Yaya is consistently one of our favorite guests at Florida Supercon. Anytime we've had the pleasure of Yaya attending one of our shows as a guest it has been one of the highlights of the show. She is always prepared, engaging and professional every time and is well respected by our fans, attendees and staff. We constantly have requests from our attendees to bring her back year after year. We would welcome Yaya back to any event we host, and consider it a privilege to have her at our show."
Mike Broder, Con-Chair, Florida Supercon

"Yaya Han is a great addition to any convention's lineup. She is seasoned to the professional relationship needed in today's fandom productions, and with her look and fun products, fans tend to gather around. At MTAC, we like to consider each guest a new member of our family, and she's a welcome addition to the table."
Lucas Leverett, Convention Chairman, Middle Tennessee Anime Convention
